Master's thesis

On behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration and Sweco Digital Service, Hugo explored how machine learning can be used as an assisting tool to create end-time forecasts for traffic accidents. Through extensive data processing and feature engineering, the results showed that machine learning can generate more precise forecasts compared to experienced road traffic controllers' manual assessments. The work was highly appreciated by both organizations, and primarily utilized tools such as FME, QGIS and Python. Location: Stockholm, Organization: Sweco Digital Services
